End of Quarter 3 at HCA

Thank you for supporting HCA by enforcing values in character, education, and discipline at home. Together we will strive to reach our goal for our children to grow as Jesus did ". . . in wisdom and in stature and in favour with God and man."

As always my recommendation to make an appointment for a teacher-parent conference to see your child progress struggles and plan goals for each child's individual strengths and talents. It's a two-way street to help our children to succeed.

Some changes have already come to HCA and in work and I am very excited to share them with you. I have been researching, speaking to child specialists, book authors and math club starters to help our children with their school struggles in Math, logic, brain fog, boredom, etc.

We have already introduced the Cognitive development of brain exercises to our students. This program is unique because it utilizes a combination of mental arithmetic and the development of critical thinking through classical mathematics, brain exercise, logic problems, cursive and poem memory.

Each lesson (30-40 minutes) is divided into two parts (morning and after lunch). Part one is brain exercise, part two is logic/math and Language work problems. This unique technique develops intellectual abilities, increasing the volume of memory, thinking and creative potential. As we slowly introduce this program to students we are testing them in a creative form their current brain performance level every week to note the changes.

Our Literature comprehension and spelling words continue weekly with English classes. More to come in our classes Abacus Arithmetics with Oksana Smith (Country Math Author) personal training and reading Math book “Life of Fred” that are Engaging Easily Read and Understood, written with humour and common sense to raise the child and their understanding to great heights to start loving math through the stories of Fred and Kingie. We believe these changes will engage the students in learning and growing in excellence.

Please continue to pray for HCA for everything we do in HCA to bring Glory to God!

“Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.” Deuteronomy 32:2
